"HOW DO YOU LET IT GO" is about the struggle of releasing what has shaped me; whether it’s people, habits, society, or even my past self. It’s that moment when you think you’ve moved on, but the weight still lingers. I’ve let people toy with my emotions, let society dictate how I should feel, and in the process, I forgot how to play the game of me. This poem is both a confrontation and a confession; acknowledging the pain, the resentment, and the numbness that remains when you’ve given too much away.
I write from a place of truth, even when that truth is uncomfortable. My poetry is shaped by rebellion, by the refusal to conform, by the wounds left behind by people and institutions that tried to mold me. HOW DO YOU LET IT GO is about the fight to unlearn, to reclaim, and to break free; even when the chains feel invisible. My words carry the energy of resistance, whether it’s against society, love, or the self. This poem is not just about letting go; it’s about understanding what still holds on.
